Privacy Policy

MindMyBelief (“we,” “us,” “our”) is a service of AI Canadian Solutions. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We built this product to be a calm, respectful place to read, reflect, and connect with a community — and we treat your information accordingly.

Information We Collect

• Account details — your name, email address, and a securely hashed password.
• Reading activity — verses and themes you open, your chosen translation and reading mode, favourites, private notes, highlights, reactions, and any “takes” you share.
• Voice / read-aloud input — processed to generate the response and not stored after the request is served.
• Business & advertiser information — if you create or claim a business listing or run an ad, the details you provide (business name, tagline, description, contact email, phone, website, address, category, faith affiliation, logo and banner images, and ad creative). This information is displayed publicly on your listing and ads.
• Event information — events you create (which are public) and, when you register for or book a ticket to an event, your name and email.
• Payment information — paid events and subscriptions are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store your full card number. We retain limited transaction records (such as amount, currency, status, a Stripe reference, and the email used) to confirm bookings and manage subscriptions.
• Approximate location — we may use your IP address to estimate your general location (country, region, and city) so we can show nearby events and businesses. This is an approximation derived from your IP, not precise GPS.
• Technical data — standard information such as browser type and general usage, used to keep the Service running and secure.

How We Use Your Information

• To provide the Service — search, explanations, read-aloud, favourites, notes, community takes, the business directory, events, bookings, and advertising.
• To remember your preferences and reading history, and to surface relevant nearby events and businesses.
• To process payments, confirm bookings, and manage advertiser subscriptions.
• To send account and service emails, and — if you opt in — daily reflections and notifications.
• To keep MindMyBelief secure, prevent abuse, and improve the product.

How Information Is Shared

• Event organisers — when you register for or buy a ticket to an event, your name and email are shared with that event’s organiser so they can manage attendance.
• Public listings — business profiles, ads, and events you create are visible to anyone using the Service.

Service Providers

We share limited information with trusted providers only as needed to operate MindMyBelief:

• OpenAI — to generate verse explanations and text-to-speech. The relevant verse text and your selected mode are sent to generate a response.
• SendGrid — to deliver account, booking, and notification emails.
• Stripe — to process payments for paid events and subscriptions, under Stripe’s own terms and privacy policy.
• IP geolocation provider (ip-api.com) — to estimate your approximate location from your IP address for nearby results.

These providers process data under their own terms and only to perform services for us.

Cookies

We use a small number of cookies that are necessary for the Service to function — for example, to keep you signed in and to remember your reading mode. We do not use cookies to sell your data to advertisers.

Data Retention

We keep your account information, saved content, listings, events, and transaction records for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal, tax, and security obligations. If you close your account, we will delete or anonymise your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we are required to retain it.

Your Rights

You may access, correct, export, or delete your personal information, and object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, contact us at the address below and we will respond within a reasonable time.

Children’s Use

MindMyBelief is intended for a general audience and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, please contact us and we will remove it.
