Terms of Use

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of MindMyBelief (the “Service”), operated by AI Canadian Solutions (“we,” “us,” “our”). Please read them carefully. By using the Service you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.

1. Description of Service

MindMyBelief is a reading and reflection platform. It lets you search scripture across translations, receive AI-generated explanations in several modes (including a children’s mode and a deep-study mode), listen to passages read aloud, save favourites, notes and highlights, and share short anonymous reflections (“takes”). The Service also includes:

• a directory of faith-related businesses, charities and organisations that you can browse and search;
• community events and gatherings that registered users can discover, create, and register or buy tickets for; and
• business profiles and clearly-labelled advertising for organisations that wish to reach the community.

2. Accounts

Some features require an account. You agree to provide accurate information, keep your password secure, and be responsible for activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to create an account. Notify us promptly of any unauthorised use.

3. User Content & Community Takes

You retain ownership of the notes, reflections and “takes” you create. By sharing a take publicly, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display it within the Service. To keep MindMyBelief a respectful space:

• Community interaction is like-only — there are no public reply threads designed to provoke argument.
• No harassment, hate speech, threats, spam, or content that demeans any person, faith, or group.
• We may moderate, edit, remove, or decline to display content, and may suspend accounts, at our discretion to enforce these Terms.

4. Acceptable Use

MindMyBelief brings people of many faiths into one space. To keep it safe and respectful for everyone, you agree that you will not:

• post or share content that is unlawful, hateful, harassing, threatening, defamatory, or obscene, or that demeans or disparages any person, faith, tradition, or community — respect for other faiths is a condition of using our community features, including takes, listings, and events;
• misuse the AI explanation features — including attempting to make them generate hateful, harassing, or unlawful output, presenting AI output as the official doctrine or position of any faith community, or using them to attack or ridicule any belief;
• scrape, crawl, harvest, or bulk-download content or data from the Service, or access it by automated means except through interfaces we provide;
• reverse engineer, decompile, or otherwise attempt to extract the source code, models, or prompts underlying the Service, or probe, disable, or circumvent its security or access controls;
• impersonate any person or organisation, misrepresent an affiliation, or use the Service to send spam or unsolicited promotion outside the advertising features described below; or
• use the Service in violation of any applicable law or regulation.

We may investigate suspected violations and may remove content, restrict features, or suspend or terminate accounts at our discretion.

5. AI Explanations Are Informational

Explanations are generated by automated systems and may contain errors or omissions. You are responsible for how you interpret and act on them.

6. Business Directory & Listings

The directory contains both listings compiled from publicly available sources (such as public business and charity registries and public web pages) and listings created or claimed by their owners.

• Listings are provided for community discovery and information only. Inclusion is not an endorsement, and we do not verify or guarantee the accuracy, quality, legality, or current status of any listing.
• If you create or claim a listing, you are responsible for the accuracy and lawfulness of everything you provide — business name, description, contact details, address, category, faith affiliation, logo and images — and you confirm you have the right to use that content. You grant us a licence to display it within the Service.
• New and edited listings may be reviewed before or after they appear. We may edit, decline, unpublish, or remove any listing at our discretion.
• To correct or remove a listing about your organisation, contact us at the address below.

7. Events & Gatherings

Registered users may create and host events. The organiser — not MindMyBelief — is solely responsible for the event, including its accuracy, lawfulness, safety, conduct, scheduling, venue or online link, capacity, changes, cancellations, and for honouring any registrations or tickets.

• Events are reviewed and may be edited, declined, or removed at our discretion. We are not the organiser of, and are not liable for, any listed event.
• When you register for or buy a ticket to an event, your details (such as name and email) are shared with the event organiser so they can manage attendance. See our Privacy Policy.

8. Tickets, Bookings & Payments

• Free events: registering reserves your spot at no charge.
• Paid events and paid features are processed by our payment provider, Stripe. We do not collect or store your full card details; Stripe processes your payment information under its own terms and privacy policy.
• Prices are shown before checkout. By completing checkout you authorise the charge. Applicable taxes and payment-processing fees may apply.
• Subscriptions (such as advertiser plans) renew automatically until cancelled; cancelling stops future renewals but does not refund the current period.
• Refunds & cancellations: unless required by law or stated otherwise, refunds and cancellations for event tickets are the responsibility of the event organiser; advertising and subscription fees are non-refundable except as required by law. Email us with billing questions.
• You agree not to initiate fraudulent chargebacks. We may suspend accounts or listings associated with payment abuse.

9. Advertising & Sponsored Content

Businesses with a profile may submit ads. Ads are clearly labelled as “Sponsored.”

• Submitted ads enter circulation and are reviewed by our team; an ad may display with a “Live-Pending” status while under review. We may pause, decline, or remove any ad — and remove it from circulation — at our discretion.
• Advertisers are responsible for the truthfulness and legality of their ads and must hold all rights to the content used. Ads must not be deceptive, unlawful, or offensive, or otherwise violate these Terms.
• Ads may be targeted by faith and topic for relevance. We do not guarantee any specific placement, number of impressions or clicks, or any result.

10. Third-Party Content & No Endorsement

Listings, events, ads, linked websites, and community reflections are provided by third parties or compiled from public sources. They do not represent the views of MindMyBelief, and we do not endorse, verify, or guarantee them. Scripture texts and translations are used under their respective public-domain status or licences.

11. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, or that any explanation, listing, event, or ad is accurate, complete, or reliable.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, AI Canadian Solutions and its affiliates will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of (or inability to use) the Service, any event, listing, ad, or transaction. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or CAD $100.

13. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless AI Canadian Solutions and its affiliates, officers, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or connected with: (a) your access to or use of the Service; (b) any content you post, submit, or display — including takes, notes, listings, events, and ads; (c) your violation of these Terms; or (d) your violation of any law or of the rights of any third party. We may assume the exclusive defence and control of any matter subject to indemnification by you, in which case you agree to cooperate with our defence.

14. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. You agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Ontario, Canada.

15. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date above. Material changes will be communicated where appropriate. Your continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
